The Cost of War

The combined cost of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars as of December 3rd, 2009:


Enough money to pay for the health care of 269,705,508 Americans.

Enough money to send 141,481,138 Americans to college on a full one-year University scholarship.

Enough money to hire 19,764,579 public safety officers.

Enough money to hire 15,032,144 elementary school teachers.
